The MAUS is the World’s first radiation hardened analogue fine Sunsensor for Cubesat applications. As the MAUS uses similar diodes and membranes as the BiSon the sensors are extremely radiation tolerant which means that the sensor can also be used for missions beyond low Earth orbit. The use of a standard nano-D connector provides a highly reliable but compact electrical interface thus leading to a height of less than 5mm.
